Military band honors Veterans

U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) will host its 15th annual "Salute to Veterans" concert on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Ferguson Center for the Arts, Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va.  The event is free and open to the public.

This performance features a combined military band, made up of select members from the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Band, Fort Monroe, U.S. Fleet Forces Band, Norfolk; U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band, Joint Base Langley-Eustis; Marine Detachment, Armed Forces School of Music, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story; and the New London, Conn.-based U.S. Coast Guard Band.

The concert is free but tickets are encouraged to help ensure seating.  People may obtain tickets through the Ticket and Tours (ITT) offices at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Fort Monroe, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Naval Station Norfolk, and the Ferguson Center for the Arts Box Office.

Individuals without tickets will be admitted after 6:45 p.m. on a space-available basis.
