Our low vision clinic assists veterans with moderate visual impairment live a more productive, independent lifestyle.
Intermediate Low Vision Clinic
- Comprehensive Assessment
- Low Vision Examination
- Low Vision Therapy
- Communication Skills Training
- Health Management Training
- Home Management Training
- An individualized set of goals are established for each Veteran to assist with their leading a productive and independent life.
Eligibility and Referrals
- Veterans with 20/70 or worse visual acuity and legally blind with mostly preserved peripheral visual fields are considered for this outpatient program.
- Referrals can be made to the Intermediate Low Vision Clinic through a/an:
- VIST Coordinator
- Eye Care Professional at the Medical Center
- Outside Eye Care Provider (upon receipt of medical information listing diagnosis and acuities)
