About the Program

The VAMC Hampton has an active research program including studies in —

• smoking cessation
• Prostate Cancer 
• Substance Abuse 
• PTSD

The Hampton VA Medical Center is fully  accreditated by National Commission of Quality Assurance (NCQA).  The program maintains an ongoing relationship with the Virginia Governor's School for Science and Technology and has a five-year sharing agreement with the NASA-Langley Research Center. .

Over 21 active research projects are currently being conducted at VAMC Hampton.
